Climbing Mountains Consulting LLC was inspired by a quote that recognizes that we do not need to carry the weights of our experiences and built from two decades of professional and personal experience.
However, the first responder wellness space is crowded, with an overwhelming amount of sales-pitches, trendy words, and limited perspective. In a space where clinicians and officers alike seem to be fighting for air-time and contracts, here is what Jennifer Baney promises to bring to the table:

Mission: to empower officers and their families through experiential trainings and retreats that deepen self-awareness, promote sustainable well-being, and foster community – so they can thrive, not just survive.
Values
- Authenticity: Jen shows up as her real self – no scripts, no sales pitches. Just honest conversations and practical support grounded in lived experience and clinical insight.
- Expertise: Jen brings a blend of personal experience in the law enforcement world and professional clinical training to offer relevant, informed, and actionable guidance. The balance of cultural-competency and clinical proficiency is essential.
- Compassion: Jen recognizes the weight of what officers and their families carry. Every story is met with empathy and strength, without judgement – because care matters as much as courage.
- Humility: Jen is part of a larger movement. She honors the work of others in this space and believes growth comes from staying open, curious and collaborative. There is no room for competition in a space that is focusing on improving growth and decreasing struggle and suicidality.
- Passion: This work is personal. As long as one officer or family member feels alone in their struggle, Jen stays committed to the mission. Wellness isn’t optional, it’s essential.
